Public Meeting -Dunbar First Response Scheme |
 A Public Meeting for 'Dunbar Community First Response Scheme' will be held this Thursday 2nd of July at Hallhill Healthy Living Centre, 7.30pm . Everyone is invited to attend whether you want to find out more about the scheme, volunteer as a responder or perhaps lend a hand in some other way. Please come along and bring a friend with you, this new scheme will be a great resource for Dunbar but it will need from the local community to be a success.

Lyric Group announce Silver Jubilee production |

It was announced at the AGM on Monday 15th June that in order to celebrate the Lyric Group's 25th year it is intended that the next production will be "Oklahoma". This was the first full performance staged by the group and it was felt to be appropriate that this should be the highlight of the year. Dates and venue for auditions will be announced later. |

Dunbar.. poluted & losing roads ? |

This web site has always tried to stay away from political issues, and not have an opinion on matters that can't be 100% backed up , but this little issue probably needs at least considered...2 issues actually I suppose , but one that may require action by the public. From this point on I'm quoting from a letter handed into us (click read more for full letter)...
"To all the people who live in the East Lammermuir area and neighbouring Berwickshire. Are you aware of the fact that East Lothian Council have put a stopping order on the road to Barns Ness ? The situation of this road lies on the old A1, then just passed East Barns old farm. This is the only road we have left; we have already lost three where we live at Innerwick. |

Scottish Parliament event in Dunbar for Charity and Voluntary Groups |
The Scottish Parliament will hold a launch event in Dunbar on 9th July to promote its November conference for voluntary sector groups. The one-day November conference – “Understanding and Influencing Your Parliament” – is aimed purposefully at local grass-roots voluntary organisations (rather than national / head-office charity and voluntary sector groups based in Edinburgh or Glasgow). The aim of the day will be to skill-up local voluntary groups to campaign more effectively in the Parliament and to have their voices heard by MSPs and parliamentary committees. |
